BAE - BREW AND ELSE, PANTAI INDAH KAPUK

 

It's a new hype cafe in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, called Coffee BAE - Brew and Else. Which means they serve coffee and others stuff from dessert, fresh roasted brewed coffee (which is smell super nice), and of course Main Course.  Their dessert are so pretty and the plating are very artistic, which come from Cultivate.id, by the way it is their name on instagram, just check it out.

What makes this coffee so special, is their installation of Street Mirror, it's displayed in 20 Mirrors. (LOL). As i always remember, when i used to study in Kuala Lumpur, i have to walk from my campus to Ampang Park to get lunch nearby or to catch train LRT from Ampang Park to KLCC, China Town, Bukit Bintang, etc. There's a lot of Street Mirror, which is rounded and in silver, but for BAE is exceptional, their colour is more to brown. Actually in Jakarta also have a lot sih.. hahaha..

 Many customer / visitor love to take selfie/photo here, so unique and its a must photo which is instagram famous shot. Of course you don't want to miss this moment. I went here because i saw post from Anak Jajan, their always allure me to visit this cafe, so finally i can made it!

 

Some pretty green decoration, i believe their interior designer are so damn creative and its not a thing that come from Pinterest moment, but go though a lot of research and inspiration from other famous designer. Simple and eye catching.

The Seating Area are so luxurious, with Black and Gold color dominated on the wall, Sofa and Table. Their lamp has unique shape, not like typically regular lamp, which is made eye a bit sore, its quite comforting, not too bright. And yes of course the charging port on each table really help customer to made their phone alive while doing some work, study or just enjoying a cup of coffee with friends, with a lot of Instagram Scrolling.

I'm sorry dude, when get this shoot, There is a staff who trying to get a picture with a funny pose, its like twerking or almost squat posed. Well im just trying to get a shoot from this angle of the first floor seating area. They have three seating group, for maximum 6 to 7 people or could be less.

The Coffee Machine really lovely and i believe its cost a lot and good investment for a beautiful Cafe like BAE. Again they put a touch of green to make it so refreshing for the eye. My eye are so happy with those green and pretty decent barista who are friendly.

I'm amazed with their Coffee Machine from Faema E71 which estimated cost about one hundred million rupiah. It doesnt cost any value, without a good skillful experienced Barista, to get a good cup of coffee from Basic Espresso to Cappuccino, Latte, etc. It doesn't come in one night to be a good barista, but many years to achieve that amazing hand of coffee artisan. 

I visit on Monday before church to Gilgal for 3.30 pm Services, and i came around 1.30 pm in the afternoon, so its quite and not so crowded. Blessed the Lord that i can freely take some photos, the first floor are non smoking area, and the second floor are smoking area, meanwhile they are still quite so i decided to enjoy my dessert on the second floor.

Here's the hand wash area, with huge mirror and the chandelier behind really make an impact! and on my behind their mirror installation, i'm not sure what kind of style and how to called it, but it really genius to put those kind of mirror made a strong concept and nicely blend with the wall.

More shoots of the washing area, which is really beautifully displayed and their effort has to be praised. A female always has a spare time to get this kind of shoot, if you get what i mean.

 The stairs with lighting on the side, better looking at night when it's dark and the lighting is empowering the stairs. Its a wooden floor, looks like Japanese style of restaurant or cafe. Classic.

Valrhona Lava Cake

Molten Valrhona Lava Cake, Vanilla Bean ice cream, Chocolate Cloud, Honey Comb topped over Chocolate Sauce. A perfect combination between chocolate cake and souffle.

Every bite of this dessert really made me happy, it's like a butterfly on my stomach. Heaven in a spoon! Made my day so happy and craved satisfied. First of all molten lava is my favorite dessert, and it's dark chocolate, i tried before the orange lava cake in other cafe which is good but yah meh, not as good as chocolate. This warm molten cake, with a vanilla ice cream really match made heaven, when warm melting chocolate cake and cold vanilla ice cream meet is like Sally and Jack in the movie of The Nightmare before Christmas. With a twist of honey comb, chewy and sticky on my teeth (LOL), cookies crumble (almost taste like the based of tart perhaps, that's is buttery, but its more to sand texture), and chocolate dripping sauce as the plating. I wish i could eat this dessert every day without gaining weight. (pardon for my dessert obsession)

Their bathroom are so clean and keep their hygiene at the top of priority. Again the bathrom mirror are so interesting, makes me wonder, how a woman can't rersist themselves to take a quick picture. PS the janitor did a good job by using the blue duck to clean the closet, but i wonder when i flush out the blue color didn't change, am i do the wrong thing? Because i did flush my pee *LOL* Anyway they use Aesop soap liquid, which is smell so nice, it's smells like Lavender, my favorite essence oil.

Here's the bill, if you wonder, how much it cost to have a decent dessert in a PIK area, do not hesitate your self to try this place. Hype and worth to try. At the very first place, i was questioning why the tax so expensive, then i know the answer because their service was good and the interior really made me feel so comfortable, plus a good song tune in.

By the way, i did some short video kinda Mukbang, but literally nor ASMR, because you can not listen the eating sound like crunchy or crispy, or even chewing sound. Some people might be find it relaxing, but not for some peoplw who are sensitive to sound, probably quite disturbing. 

 

Kinda feel like kinfolk but failed, need to learn more about photograph stuff from the composition, color balance, brightness, saturation, best angle shoot, curves, etc. Plus i'm still can't move on from the taste of the Valrhona Molten Lava Cake.  I wonder when i can start my Vlog, but i can't edit my video like a pro. Need a camera digital soon, for better quality of photos perhaps? If you have any suggestion what brand of Mirrorles Camera that is light, affordable, sharp image, and they don't launch any product soon so fast like M3, M5 and M10, cause after M10 i believe they will launch another series, that's somehow trigger the buyer regret and insist to buy the latest new series. LOL. Please confess me, that buying a camera is good investment for me as a newbie food blogger and graphic designer.. Cash i need cash, lol.. Save up more money please *cross finger*
