LUCKY NUMBER WAN, PURI INDAH
It's time to start a new Chapter with a good meal in a Cozy place like Lucky Number Wan (Chinese Brasserie & Tea House) in Puri Indah. Such a long trip to make it there from my place, thanks God there is always a driver who save me from a traffic jam in this big city, called Grab and Ovo as well who saved up my money by giving a discount to any trip during this month (August 2018). So lets begin the story..........
So here is the outside of the restaurant, grey color dominated the exterior of the restaurant. As we can see there is a Chinese Symbol mean Happiness, and a circle shape is represented a Coin, with a square hole inside, it is written "Lucky Number Wan", instead of One, the called it "Wan" and there is also a tag line "Chinese Brasserie & Tea House" to show, this restaurant are specifically serve Chinese Food in Fusion Style and their special drink is Tea.
The more close up look of ancient Chinese shape with text "LUCKY NUMBER WAN" and Chinese character 幸运. It is in Pink and Gold Color, a perfect combination palette of Pantone Color, as i am a graphic designer, i should be sharp to every detail of the Brand Identity, which i love it so much. It is Chinese yet classic and a touch of modern style. Nice!
The clear glass door, with a specific operational hours from Weekday to Weekend, to let the customer know, which time is the best to come for lunch, dinner or even tea time.
The Signage of the Second floor, which is displayed on the first floor. The Second floor have a outdoor or Balcony, so for customer who are smoking do not worry, cause you got the private area. And each floor has the toilet, except the third floor which is VIP ROOM.
Here is the stairs that is connecting the first floor and the second floor.
Again the signage with a man servant illustration to show the way to Toilet, Balcony and Stairs to VIP Room. The pink are cute, simply adorable and nice color, very eye catchy indeed for a direction.
The second floor seating area, there are two kind of seating, for a group of four people and for five people on the other side with a port of charging. I pick this seating cause i know i need to charge my phone. LOL. Typically of not-so-mobile person, yet only stalking social media and update some news, apart of doing some email of freelances job (psstt..)
The poster quite catch my attention, it is not so big, but i was quite curious.
It's "YICK LOONG FIREWORKS CO." Duck Brand, Reg Trade Mark, Extra Selected Flashlight Cracker. Do Not hold in Hand After Lighting. Manufactured by Mr. Tang Bick Tong
Made in Macau, with a two Duck swimming in a pond painting. I am not sure how it can be related to a Fusion Chinese concept dining, or just simply for a decoration. Oh well, at least it brighten up the pinkish wall, with so many stuff on the table as it is can be seen, a table lamp, Air humidifier, Water Boiler, Small Frame, Air Con Remote, Recepit printer, and some paper. Do they need to arrange those stuff more nicely, i guess. And i am not sure what kind of smell, i mean the essence oil or anything, cause it quite bother me. I prefer a smell that does not bother my appetite, something light and not too strong.
The menu of Dessert, they have Matcha Molten Lava Cake, Fried Milo Bao with Ice cream, Banana Crumble Caramel Sauce with some explanation of each dishes and price before tax applied. This time i skip appetizer and main course, because i love dessert and spare my precious time to enjoy the delicate sweet creation from Lucky Number Wan. Actually this menu can be seen in any platform like Pergi Kuliner or Zomato, and google of course. But yeah, i don't really care, cause it's my blog, it's up to me to post anything that i like.

Summer Palace |
The recommended tea, if i am not mistaken, it's called Summer Palace.
Black Tea, Assorted Dried fruit (Pineapple, Currant, Berries, Rose, Rosella)
This tea can be served in hot (IDR 33) or cold (IDR 30), only hot can be refill as three times. The tea taste not bad, but the smell not really fruity as the servant had explained to me, or am i expecting too much, i am not comparing to the other brand which already established, TWG Tea. But i am really appreciate of this tea, it warm and neutralize the sweetness from the cake that i enjoyed.
I Love the wooden tray, give the oriental feeling and the tea pot looking so cute. The tiny clear serving cup actually not really fit into my lips, i am not sure, am i really not focusing when i drink, but i spill every time i take a sip. I need a regular cup instead of this fancy cup, but at least it did not burn my hand while the tea still hot, cause the cup is double layer. The tea is quite thick and bold, so the waiter add more hot water to thinner the tea, i guess i will stay awake until 3 am later.
Plain shoot of Tea Pot, Tea Cup, but not sure i just like it. Simple and enough said in one frame.
Another shoot from this angle, the brightness really ruin the image, too bright on the left side, that's why the tea pot look a bit blurry.
This image, hue more to blue and that's why the pink plate does not pop up, instead the tea pot be the spotlight. yes, this cropping style not coordinated for instagram size which is square. Never mind, this photo is for my collection, i like to take picture and it's my style. I found a food blogger which is very famous and focusing on coffee got a double sword tongue, he bit his lips while writing the tagline on his post, while trying to mock another blogger who incompetent enough to show talent on photograph, he said that his client want the picture focus on the food and zoom in more, but he said its not his style, then why he want to take that job, and please do he consider as the client might be read his post and well even he got a million likes, comment and followers, please do not kill other blogger, or even he call himself as a influence or content writing, branding, etc. STFU! You are not the only famous content writing on social media. Please do appreciate other people style and do not judge other food blogger who might be start up or newbie. This geeky guy with a glassed is Wan*****e, a guy who think he knew it all. So i just unfollow him and feel much better. The one i inspired is Linda Lomelino, She is a Photograph and Cookbook Author, another one is Nora Eisermann & Laura Muthesius from Our Food Stories, their style really awesome and strong concept. Love it so much!
Apologize for low quality image, because i take it from my mobile phone, not from digital camera. Which one do you think good enough, the first one or the second one? For me i like this one, because the baby breath flower not really cropped as the above picture (LOL, no, kidding, that's not the reason). By the way, they smart to pick baby breath flower, because it is low Maintanance, no need to be shower with sun or any special treatment and simply made the table more pretty as it is.
Skip main course and eat cake! Like the wise said, there is always room for dessert. A meal never complete without a cake and you don't need a birthday to get a slice of delicious Matcha Molten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Matcha Molten Lava Cake
Molten Green Tea Cake infused with melted Green Tea Lava Flavor served hot with vanilla Ice Cream and Crumble
I always in love with Molten Lava Cake, whatever the flavor come, it's must be delicious, because there is special surprise inside the cake, every time i spoon it out, the lava come out, and the butterfly inside my stomach start flying. The right moment to boomerang (kidding!) and i need more lava melting. To be honest i always love dark chocolate, but this time i wont lie, Matcha did a great job, the cake really moist and fluffy, it is not dry at all, yet the outside a bit firm, perfect combination with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream.
Molten Lava Cake is invented by a Genius Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten from United States in New York City in 1987 but the French chef and chocolatier Jacques Torres disputes this, arguing that such a dish already existed in France. According to Vongerichten, he pulled a chocolate sponge cake
from the oven before it was done and found that the center was still
runny, but was warm and had both a good taste and texture. Regardless of
who invented the dish, Vongerichten has been credited with popularizing
it in the United States, and it became almost a de rigueur inclusion on high-end restaurant dessert menu.
Molten chocolate cake is a popular dessert that combines the elements of a flourless chocolate cake and a soufflé. Its name derives from the dessert's liquid chocolate center, and it is also known as chocolate moelleux (from French for "soft"), chocolate lava cake, or simply lava cake. It should not be confused with chocolate fondant, a recipe that contains little flour, but instead a lot of chocolate and butter, hence melting on the palate (but not on the plate)
Chocolate Lava Cake
Ingredients
Unsalted butter 1/2 cup
Bitter sweet/semi sweet chocolate 120 gm
Eggs 4 nos
Sugar 1/4 cup
Flour 2 tsp
For preparation
Unsalted butter to butter the molds
Flour to dust the molds
Garnish
Raspberry ice cream 1 scoop
Strawberry 2-3 nos
Method
Place the butter in a glass bowl and melt it in microwave.
Add chopped chocolate to the hot butter and stir until melted.
Take 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks in a separate bowl, add sugar and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add egg mixture and 2 tsp flour to the melted chocolate and whisk until combined.
Butter and lightly flour the 4 ounce ramekins or molds, tap out excess flour.
Pour the batter in the lined molds and refrigerate them for upto 3 hours.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and place the cake molds on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until the cakes have puffed up a bit, the tops are barely set and the cakes still juggle when shaken.
Remove the cake from oven and also to stand for a minute at room temperature.
Place a plate on top of ramekin and carefully invert the cake onto plate, remove the ramekin and serve immediately with ice cream/ sorbet and fresh strawberries.
Note: Make sure you line the molds with butter and flour evenly without leaving any side as you wont be able demold the cake unless it is coated evenly.
