Bangkok & Pattaya Trip

Hi Guys! Last December 2018, Me and my family went to Bangkok for a short trip. So here some of the pictures that simply taken and summarize of the holiday. Hope you guys enjoy my blog and keep update by follow my blogspot yaaa.. Thank You.

It was my very first time to visit Thailand, especially Bangkok. I travel with Thai Airlines, and it was a great experiences. The hospitality was amazing, food was great. I choose prawn Tom Yum with Rice, and guess what, usually i don't eat rice at all. But this time, i even finish all the rice. The shrimp are so tender and fresh, sweet. Lovely dishes on an airplane, who say that plane meals are bad. I bet you will. Sorry i did not take the pictures, as i was hungry. Beside the rice, there is also, Salad, Bread with Butter, Puddings and Fruit and Free flow drinks. Pssstt i ask for Red Wine, hehhee.. and it was super good, make me so relax, while enjoying the movie.

By the time we arrive at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, My Dad suggest me to buy the Prepaid Card, it cost about 399 Thailand Baht. After that we wait outside for the driver to fetch us, actually we travel personally not follow any Travel Agency, so my Brother in Law been a few time s to BKK, and know some good places, include this driver who usually bring Travelers from Jakarta (like Trubus Company who usually went to Thailand). This driver actually can't speak English, so it's quite hard to communicate, luckily his friend name Peter can speak Indonesian even Javanese, but too bad, He's already booked by another groups.

After me and my family put our luggage to the Hotel, We are so hungry and decided to go to the nearest shopping mall which is The Somboon Restaurant are located inside. So this Restaurant are sell some good seafood, especially Crabs. And it's my Dad's most Favorite Crabs in Bangkok. Surprisingly it was taste delicious, and all the food quite pricey, it cost about one million Rupiah. So yaa, i believe the quality are excellent. As i can see there are so many people queue for so long to get a table and the place are so crowded, with many foreigner from China, Korea even Indonesian. hahaha.. Trust me, you should go to Somboon Seafood when you visit Thailand, all the food are good and worth the wait.

This is the first time, i try Somboon and i knew i am fall in love with this yummy tender Pork ribs. The pork are well marinated and seasoned, even the soft bones, can be eaten, so crunchy. The kailan are fresh and complete with carrots, and potatoes. The gravy sauces also tasty, i believe you can add more rice for this Pork Ribs.

This chili Crabs are so delicious, huge size of Crab, full of fresh sweet meats. The sauces are absolutely finger licking good. I swear, you should try this one. For my personal taste, not that spicy, because to be honest i do really like spicy food. This crab are female, so there is an egg inside, and that part are the most favorable. And the leg part also thick and full of meats.

Even the plate are so clean after math, it can feed about 5 people, because we order some other dishes as well. We are so happy and satisfy with this crab.

Actually we already a plain rice, which is come in a big bowl, that we are confuse, because we just order fried rice, and see the portion are huge! and we end up can't finish the plain rice. This fried rice actually taste good, more to yang chow fried rice, that use soy sauces in little amount, so the color are not that brown. Simply comfort food and those who are hungry (not hAngry = Hungry + Angry) LOL i'm kidding.

It's my favorite dishes! The Beef are so tender and juicy, well seasoned and just look at the glossy coating, so delicious. And the cashew so crunchy, with some dried chili and slices onion. It taste sweet and savory, so i can just eat it right away, without any rice.

As for the closure of the meal, we order Mango sticky Rice, which is super good. The Mango are so fresh, sweet and juicy. Mango from Thailand are much sweeter than from Indonesia. The Glutinous rice are chewy and soft, sometimes i found the sticky rice are a bit hard, but this one are different, it has a good texture. Good combination of sticky rice and mango, the coconut cream sauce are very delicate, bring a good flavor to every spoon of this Mango Sticky Rice. Happy Tummy and ready to strolling around in Central World Shopping Mall.

After window shopping and walking around inside the mall, we are curious to try Coconut Water. Looks so fresh and they display it very nicely. Thanks God, the coconut water are so good and refreshing. But too bad, their more expensive than the one sell on the street near the hotel that we stay. The coconut water are very clean, and the size are small, so it perfectly fit for one person, no share lah! hahaha... just kidding, we can share tho'

The view from the outside of the Central World are so pretty especially at night, i love those panorama, full of lighting and the feeling like De Javu. There is a big stage that prepared for the New Year Eve. The most interesting, there is a temple for Buddhist to pray and, they sell flower necklace for people who want to pray, for example Healthy, Career, Family or Love Life. The temple are so pretty and it's Holly. The signature elephant also can be seen, it's decorated with colorful fabric.

We stay at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam which is located in the city of Bangkok and quite strategic to some shopping center, 15 minutes walking distances from MBK Center. The interior of this Hotel are pretty extravagant and luxury. They cafe lounge are the first floor are decorated with Christmas Tree, because it still December and people celebrate Christmas from around the world. There is a Ginger Bread Cookies and a lot of cute pretty cakes displayed, i wish i can take one, but i'm already full after dinner. So i skipped that.

There is King Statue to honor the King of Thailand. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand died at the age of 88 on 13 October 2016, after a long illness. A year-long period of mourning was subsequently announced. A royal cremation ceremony took place over five days at the end of October 2017.

Breakfast at The Berkeley Hotel was very satisfying, all the food range are so extravagant. From the Western, Asian, Japanese, Pastry and Coffee are perfect. Love the coffee machine, which is very easy to use, and just simply add fresh milk and sugar. Perfect to start the morning and i always ask for an omelette or sunny side up, with a lot of fresh fruits. Then next if i'm still hungry, i can take some other food like yogurt, salad, sushi or soup. The banquet are so many and the food non stop refilled, so people are happy and satisfy.

This cute little sushi are tasty, colorful and filled with crab stick, beet, cucumber and egg, wrapped in the nori sheet. The rice are so fluffy and well seasoned with Rice Sake, to complete the meal simply add Wasabi and Soy Sauce (well it common sense, but i just like to write it down)
